1.
Refunding of travel expenses
This intervention aims to facilitate the
repatriation the Trentino emigrant, offering the opportunity to
obtain reimbursement of the travel expenses involved in
repatriation for each member of the family.
Plane or boat tickets in tourist class or second class railway
tickets may be reimbursed, in any event up to a maximum of 90%
of the cost.
The application must be presented within 6 months of the
date of repatriation directly to the Province or at one of the
suburban information points within the Province, situated at the
district offices, by sending a registered letter to the Province
(in this case it is necessary to enclose a photocopy of an
identity document, passport or identity card issued by an
Italian Commune with the application).
The application must be completed in full and in
particular must indicate: Trentino origin: i.e. the place of
birth and date of emigration of the applicant or of the spouse
or of the Trentino ascendant who emigrated must be indicated.
Residency: in order to obtain the contribution it is necessary
to acquire residency in an Italian commune.
It is also necessary to enclose all the documentation proving
the amount of the expenditure together with the application.
In particular, plane, railway or coach
tickets must be enclosed. In the event that the applicant
travelled using a private vehicle he may supply the receipts for
motorway tolls and for the purchasing of fuel.
2.
Reimbursement of expenditure for the transport of household
goods
90% of costs for the transport of household
goods on repatriation is reimbursed, up to a maximum amount of
3,000 Euro.
Household goods is intended to mean personal
effects and in particular furniture. In this case again the application
for this type of reimbursement must be made to the Province
within 6 months of the date of repatriation.
In order to obtain the refund it is always necessary to enclose
all documentation relating to the expenses, for example the
invoice of the removal firm which carried out the move.
All these documents must be originals and duly receipted, i.e.
they must be stamped to show that payment has taken place.
3.
Contribution for the cost of transporting machinery and working
tools.
This type of contribution allows those making
the request to obtain reimbursement for up to 60% of costs for
the transporting of machinery and working tools, up to a total
amount of 3,000 Euro.
Clearly this must be for machinery and tools
belonging to the applicant, used by him for his job, and which
are transferred to the province of Trento in order to initiate
an employment activity.
In this case, in addition to the
documentation certifying the costs borne for transport, as
regards which the previous paragraph applies, he must also
enclose to the application a report in which he
illustrates the employment activity undertaken abroad and the
activity which he intends to initiate here, in the province of
Trento.
4. The granting of
welfare payments
If the person is in a situation of particular
economic need, together with the request for the reimbursement
described in the previous paragraphs, he may apply for a
welfare payment.
This contribution consists of a sum of
1,550.00 Euro for each member of the family, in order to assist
in facilitating and speeding up integration or reintegration in
the new environment.
However, whereas the refunds outlined previously are granted
without reference to the economic situation of the applicant,
welfare payments are granted subject to the positive judgement
of the Social Services.
The Emigration Department will request verification from the
competent Social Services Department.
