Students from abroad, whether Italian or foreign
citizens, who have not reached the age of 18 and who are in
possession of educational qualifications awarded by foreign
schools may, at any time of the year, request enrolment
in Italian primary or secondary schools, whether state,
recognised on equal terms or legally recognised schools. The
application for enrolment must be presented directly to the
chosen school, enclosing the following documentation:
- documentation certifying enrolment and
attendance at a foreign school, together with a translation
certified as accurate by the diplomatic or consular
authorities;
- declaration of the Italian consular
authorities certifying the correspondence of the class
attended abroad with the Italian class.
The teachers of the class committee will
decide in which class to enrol the student, on the basis of each
individual case, bearing in mind the grounding of the student in
terms of the whole programme established for access to the class
in which they wish to enrol. The grounding and knowledge of the
student may also be ascertained through examination.
